2014 Sobeys Grocery Grab Fundraiser Rules and Regulations

HOW TO ENTER: To be eligible to win the prize as indicated, entrants must purchase a ticket to win. All areas of the form must be completed in full and entries must be received by the posted deadline date of December 6th, 2014. There is no limit of tickets an entrant can purchase.

ELIGIBILITY: Sobeys Grocery Grab Fundraiser is open to all Canadian residents, 16 years of age or older.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.  Anyone working for Sobeys and/or volunteers for Sage Creek Residents’ Association (SCRA) is also allowed to purchase tickets for the Fundraiser. 

PRIZE: One Prize Winner will be drawn randomly by SCRA Social Committee from all tickets purchased before the deadline. The draw will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2014 at Noon.  The location of the draw is 23 Wood Sage Crescent in Winnipeg.   Value of prize is approximately that shown on the ticket. One winner without assistance will have 3 minutes to grab/select and place grocery items in shopping carts at the Sobeys Sage Creek store.  All your grocery items have to be in designated shopping carts to be eligible to win. The grocery items you grab are yours.  The prize cannot be refunded and is not transferable or convertible to cash or credit.  Maximum retail value of items selected will not exceed $1000 before taxes.  Therefore, the Value of the Prize of the Sobeys Grocery Grab Fundraiser is $1000 CDN or less.

GROCERY ITEM RESTRICTIONS: The following items and areas within the store are excluded from being collected during the Grocery Grab:

lottery tickets, gift cards, cigarette items or related tobacco products, full service meat section, full service deli section, full service seafood section including live lobsters, full service sushi section.

NOTIFICATION: Only the Prize Winner will be notified by mail and/or phone. We will only make 3 attempts to contact the winner. We regret if we are unable to contact the winner. The selected entrant who we could not successfully contact or has not successfully filled all the mandatory fields will be deemed to have forfeited the prize and SCRA Social Committee shall be entitled to select a new name from the qualified entrants. Before being declared a winner, the Prize Winner will also be required to sign a declaration form confirming acceptance of the prize offered, a waiver of liability acknowledging the non-responsibility of SCRA and Sobeys in respect to injuries, accidents or loss relating to the prize and the Sobeys Grocery Grab Fundraiser and a publicity release acknowledging the right to publish and/or broadcast the winner's picture, name, address, voice and statements without further compensation.  If the winner is disabled, infirm or unable to attend on the designated Grocery Grab date, the winner may designate another person to conduct the Grocery Grab in his/her place with prior approval from SCRA.  The winner’s name will be posted on our website, our Facebook page, and our Twitter account within 10 days following the draw. 

CLAIMING OF PRIZE The major qualifying factor for the contest is that you must be able to obtain your prize in person at Sobeys Sage Creek Store on 50 Sage Creek Blvd before deadline date of December 20th, 2014. The actual Sobeys Grocery Grab will occur before the store opens on selected dates and times provided by the store manager between December 8th and December 19th. We are not responsible for unclaimed prizing after the deadline has passed.

ODDS OF WINNING Odds of winning are dependent on the total number of entries received. We have printed 2000 tickets.

TECHNICAL ERRORS Sage Creek Residents’ Association cannot be held responsible for technical failures on the part of contest software or human error which could result in inaccurate postings and notifications. SCRA Social Committee reserves the right to cancel the contest at any time if the Prize Winner does not follow the above rules and regulations. SCRA realize that mistakes occur, and SCRA will make every effort to ensure that our contest is run in a fair manner. This Contest is governed by the laws of Canada. All federal and local laws and regulations apply. All taxes, fees, and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winner. These above rules and regulations are subject to change without notice.
